The Northwest Collegiate Baseball League was created to provide college baseball players the opportunity to continue playing in the summer. Our goal is to put players in a positive competitive environment with coaches who've had collegiate playing and coaching experience. We use centrally located fields and set our player fees at affordable prices. We think about the player and how much he may have to travel, including the costs that are associated with traveling.

Who are we?

  • Our ownership group, league administration, and advisory board has different experiences in the game of baseball.
  • A majority of this group has collegiate coaching experience.
  • We are well-versed in summer baseball at various levels.
  • We have experience as summer collegiate coaches.
  • We have some scouting background.
  • We have international baseball affiliation.
Each individual brings different qualities that together make us a well-rounded leadership team.

What do we do?

We give college players the opportunity to continue to develop their baseball skills in the summer so they can return to their teams in the fall more prepared, with more experience. We will also help two-year college players move on to four-year schools if they are unsigned. We try and communicate with college coaches to keep them informed. We publish accurate stats and communicate openly about our league. We put great thought and effort into the selection of our coaching staff.

Why are we doing it?

We have a passion for helping players develop and want to help meet the demand that exists for collegiate summer baseball in Western Washington. We love the game of baseball. We think we will continue to improve our product and positively contribute to baseball in the Northwest.

When did we start?

The summer of 2014 was the first summer of the NWCBL. We started thinking about the league in the spring of 2013 when we heard from players and coaches in the region who were supportive of a possible league. The summer of 2016 will mark our third summer of the league.

What makes us different?

We want what's best for the player and care about their experience.

Where are we located?

We are located in Western Washington and play at fields throughout the Puget Sound. We will use multiple field locations to play our games. A few non-league games could potentially travel outside the region. The North Sound Emeralds will play games from British Columbia Canada to Bend, Ore.

We want to build your trust

Our league is supported by a trusted and respected advisory board as well as coaches throughout the Northwest and the United States (Programs that have been represented in the NWCBL). We genuinely care about earning the trust of our players and their college coaches as we build the NWCBL. This will continue to drive us -- it is our core value.
